Color Rings

Color Rings are a dynamic new form of landscape glass art by Tom Rupnicki, founder of La Sorgente Glass Studio. Tom is known for creating NightOrbs™ hand-blown, colorful landscape lighting and garden orbs lights.

The Process

To create each disk, Tom starts by playing with various stained-glass colors, cutting free-form shapes from the glass. Then, he balances the colors and shapes before arranging them into a final design. Each disk (16″ or 18″ diameter) is unique, with colors in pleasing patterns. And the rings are a marriage of color, shapes, and light. The beauty of this stained-glass art is highlighted when sunlight pours through them and reflects the patterns on walls or across the landscape. What’s even more exciting is how the disks move in the breeze; after creating distinct reflections, each disc is unique and signed by the artist.

Color Rings Versatility

Tom’s Color Rings can be hung in windows, or they can go outdoors to be enjoyed all year round, hanging from porches and trees. And if you prefer for your Color Rings to be freestanding, you can mount them with easy-to-move stainless steel stands.
